 WWE Blast Areas gone?
« Thread Started on Jan 30, 2011, 8:01pm »

>:( Neither Hooters and Winghouse are showing the Rumble in the Central Florida area!? Those places were usually packed for WWE shows. What happened and can anyone identify a suitable replacement viewing place?

WWE customers come in, order water and soda and sit on their fat asses not eating or buying alcohol, it's pretty obvious it doesn't make a lot of sense from a business standpoint.

CORRECT. Fans come to watch WWE/MMA PPV shows for free but don't break bread in the establishments they go to, then complain when/if they do about service and tipping. If you can't afford a pitcher of beer and decent plate you shouldn't be in there (priorities as well, but digressing). Also: if the PPV was at a stripclub they'd gladly trick their $$$ off on $10 admission, overpriced door fees and liquor for a Sunday and hoes who can't shake or dance well convincing lames for table dances but those same guys complain about a waitress and semi-decent atmosphere.

Couldn't agree more. Press Box, a sports bar in Tampa, charges a $5 cover to walk in the door, which is smart, as it (sort of) keeps out the riff-raff. Two different Winghouses said attendance is down and the wrestling fans don't tip. Barnacles in Brandon adds 16% to your bill for a tip so they don't get screwed over by the typical WWE fans.

It's just not smart business, why occupy your building with people that don't tip, buy, or repeat business during non-WWE events? You might as well stick with boxing, UFC, and other sporting events and make your money there. Also keep in mind that a lot of fans of other sports, regulars, etc aren't gonna show up during the WWE events.

I sincerely miss the wrestling fans of old who were down to get hammered and yell at the screen to remind Shawn Michaels what a homo he is.
